About Service Canvashub

We read subscription retention the way a careful editor reads a draft — line by line, with the people who own renewals in the room.

Why we exist

Subscription teams in Malaysia often inherit charts they did not design. Cancel reasons sit in one export, billing retries in another, and the story of why people stay gets lost between product and support. Service Canvashub was founded to sit in that gap: human counsel for app analytics focused on subscription retention.

Origin

The practice began after years of sitting beside membership and billing leads who had plenty of numbers and too little shared language. We named the firm Service Canvashub to signal what we do — canvas the retention picture with you, then hub the decisions that follow — without pretending to replace the systems you already pay for.

How we work

We favour annotated findings over slide theatres. Evidence comes from your exports; interpretation happens in conversation. We write in plain English so a support lead and a product manager can argue from the same page. When a chart looks dramatic but rests on a thin sample, we say so.

People

Engagements are led by practitioners who have spent time inside subscription operations — plan catalogues, grace periods, pause policies — not by generic strategy generalists. Visiting specialists join when a catalogue spans multiple currencies or regulated categories; you always know who is in the room.

Values we keep

  • Specificity over spectacle — name the billing moment, not an abstract “journey.”
  • Shared ownership — findings without owners do not leave our table.
  • Respect for constraints — engineering capacity and support load shape what we recommend.
  • Malaysia-aware timing — festival periods, payday cycles, and regional pricing quirks appear in our reading when they matter.

Community

We host occasional open tables in Kuala Lumpur for retention practitioners — informal evenings, not pitch events. Past attendees include membership leads from education, media, and wellness subscriptions. Ask on the contact page if you want the next invitation.
